Playground fun

Peek-A-Boo!
Lucy is a character...always trying to make somebody laugh or smile!

Me and my little girl...not so little anymore!

Sophie crossed the monkey-bars all by herself for the first time! We all celebrated!

We rode our bikes to a nearby park and playground. We had fun playing on the equipment and playing "Mother May I?" and "What Time Is It, Mr. Fox?" Lucy was quite the escaper! Every moment we'd turn our backs, she'd wave good-bye to us and take off running, pushing her little baby stroller through the grass! Cheeky!

Yummy Lollies!

Enjoying a sunny October afternoon, eating lollies from the neighborhood ice cream truck!

Lucy couldn't get enough of this raspberry-vanilla lolly! Pure joy! Her poor lips were so red when she was through! And she cried when it was gone!

The infamous ice cream truck! We hear the fun music in our neighborhood most afternoons when it is sunny and nice. Sophie and Riley go beserk when they hear it and act like they will die if they don't get to have something from it. We've held off for a few weeks, but since we might not have many more nice afternoons, we splurged and had a fun time sharing our lollies!

Riley's Wheel-A-Thon

Riley making the appropriate "zooming" sounds as he rides around the track.

All done! 10 laps and hardly breaking a sweat!

Riley's school held a fund-raiser to make money to buy new bikes and things to spruce up their playground area. Riley couldn't have been more happy! He absolutely loves riding his bike and to be able to do it on school grounds (instead of having to get off and walk it to the bike racks) was a real treat for him! Lucy and I stayed and watched him complete his 10 laps around their "track". They got to tick off a number each time they completed a lap. Riley was proud of his completed card when he finished!

Crossing the Thames river on the way home from church.

Here we are at the famous bridge of sighs.  It is apparently copied from a famous bridge in Venice.

We took advantage of one of our nice days here and went punting on the Cherwell.  The boats or punts are long, narrow and quite unstable.  The kids were a little nervous, but they grew to love it.  You propel the punt with a long pole.  Takes a bit to get it all figured!

School is finally in for the kids and they love it.  Here they are cheesing it up before heading off on their bikes.

Here are the kids sitting outside our new home showing off their brand new wellies.  Lucy has on her cute hat, and trust me, she is very aware of how cute she is.

Double fun

We were waiting for the bus to come early one Sunday morning, so we could get to church on time. It was raining, and from out of the foggy mist a huge double decker drove up. (I guess the regualar bus is replaced on the weekends by the larger ones.) Riley and Sophie couldn't have been more pleased! We had seen these in town and the kids had already plead to ride one. Here was our opportunity.... and we all rode on the top right in the front! It's now one of our favorite rides to church...until we get a car!
