Happy Easter, Happy Eggs

Riley had fun coloring eggs...but was disappointed the green (his favorite color) wasn't dark enough. Here he is showing one of the eggs with his initials colored on it. (don't ask about the hat. With Riley, you never know what to expect!)

Sophie was very careful and methodical. She had some nice eggs that turned out...in each color!

Riley loves holding Lucy. He was very proud of his big brother Sunday tie!

First days of S P R I N G !

With the sun shining a little bit today, we stopped by at the "Zebra Park" for some fun and energy release! The tire swing is always a favorite, although, we did have to take breaks in between the fast twirls...Riley's face got a little white and we (I) didn't want to wait around to see what would follow if we dared continue!

Lucy's first encounter with a park swing. She held on super tight!

And loved it!

This is why the park is called the "Zebra Park." It's a new feature in the park this spring and we've been eyeing it since the snow started to melt. Riley's favorite animal is by far a zebra...can you guess what he raced to ride once his seat belt was unlatched in the car? you got it!

Sophie conquered her fears and triumphed over the "cork screw." She was so happy with herself and is now eagerly anticipating showing her friends at school how fast she can go! You should have heard her talking herself through to the personal victory! It made me laugh and be proud.

" P " is for ...

Pizzas!
Sophie and Riley are great chefs on these personal pizzas! (Sophie has on her tie-dye shirt she made at school...a favorite!)

Painting!
Here they are helping me paint their bedroom wall white.

Puzzles!
Sometimes a good puzzle is all you need to wind down before bedtime.

Let the crawling begin!

I just figured out how to post videos that I take with my cell phone...I thought it would be harder than it was. The quality isn't the greatest, but what can I expect from a cell phone/video camera? I originally took this video to send to Michael who is in San Francisco for an annual Orthopedic meeting. If you can stand my high pitched baby coaxing voice, you'll be fine watching this little clip. We're proud of Lucy learning to crawl! She loves to be on the move now! And nothing is safe anymore now that she's mobile!
